SIM-DRIVE’s Advance Development Model, dubbed the SIM-LEI EV has set a new mile stone in the recent tests by covering 333 km (207 miles) on a single charge, according to Japan’s JC08 test cycle. The news about its range is not only soothing for the heart but for the pocket as well. Electric prototype is one of the most environment friendly cars which runs on the power puffed batteries. These are well known as eco friendly cars.

“SIM-LEI” has a Toshiba-supplied 24.5KW battery - identical in capacity to Nissan Leaf’s - that powers SIM-LEI to reach from a standstill to 62mph in 4.8 seconds. However, SIM-LEI consumes little power i.e. 77 Wh/km vis-a-vis Leaf’s estimated 173 Wh/k. Supporting the longer stand of batteries is steel monocoque body, low-rolling resistance tires and its drag-decreasing aerodynamic.
