2011 Mercury Mariner

The 2011 Mercury Mariner hybrid should be one of the last vehicles sold under its mark name. Portage proclaimed in 2010 it could shut down the Mercury mark, leaving it with Lincoln and Ford nameplates to have an association with its vast go of sedans, trucks, and hybrids.

The Mariner had received reasonably impressive redesigns in the 2008 and 2009 show years. For 2008, Ford smoothed over the deveoping Mariner's looks and fitted an unique inner part that arranged controls a smidge more adequately, but shrouded them in too much grainy plastic.

In 2009, the Mariner received more huge powertrain upgrades. A late base motor was united and the V-6 alternative expanded more capacity. For 2011, the 2.5-liter four-barrel motor puts out 171 torque, and the yield of the 3.0-liter V-6 touches 240 hp. Both forms are provided with a six-speed mechanical transmission.
