The Tiguan Track and Venue comes with some of the sport body kit you get on the Tiguan R-Line, and throws in stuff like ‘Heavy Wax’ leather trim – which is supposedly the softest there is – and sports seats; upgraded sound system and full climate control. To see where you’re pointing your new luxury compact SUV you also get fog lights and cornering bi-xenons.
On the outside the Track and Avenue comes with a set of 19″ Savannah alloys and a couple of custom paint jobs – ‘Oryx White Pearl Effect’ and ‘Island Grey Pearl Effect’. You also get a 25 degree off-road font end, the ‘Sporty’ bits and a silver coloured rear diffuser.
Engine choices are the 2.0 litre TFSI and a pair of 2.0 litre TDIs. Both auto and manual ‘boxes are available. Prices start at €38k, which is a not inconsiderable amount for a compact SUV, even one as good as the Tiguan. But VW assure us that represents a significant saving over specifying the extras on any model in the range.
It would appear that VW currently have no plans to market the Track and Avenue in the UK.
