Last week saw the first eclectic bunch of amateur reviewers clocking up some time in the Volkswagen Tiguan. This week’s bunch seem no less eclectic.
“Axe man” Patrick Molyneux – a 46-year old lead guitarist in the legendary (in their own lunchtime) rock band “The Mighty Fog” – planned to pack his five-strong family (plus dog, tent and barbecue grill) and head down to Swanage on a real life “Five Go Mad in Dorset” camping trip.
Next up was Johnny Hindle who seemed intent on pushing the Tiguan to its performance limits: He planned to test the Tiguan’s towing capacity by hooking it up to a Winnebago but only after he’d seen if it would spin out donuts in a local park. VW will love that!
Nottingham based Di Coke had a more eclectic and musical journey in mind. She planned to harness the car’s sound system to host a mobile disco for friends and strangers she meets along the way, culminating in “gate-crashing” a local Caribbean carnival close to home. Hope the bass holds up!
So that’s a fair chunk of reviewing so far, and at least this time VW aren’t seeing the reviewers focusing just on the Tiguan’s’ roominess. And actually, they make interesting viewing. So if you fancy having a look you can jump over the to People’s Reviewer to see for yourself.
