Inspired by the race-car, the 2008 Ferrari F430 Spider is a prestigious and stunning high performance convertible. At a price ranging from MSRP: $217,310 – $228,447, the F430 Coupe is powered by a V8 engine that can take the car from 0 to 60 mph in about 4 seconds.

With a fuel economy range that is 11mpg city and 16mpg highway, the Ferrari F430 Spider has a lightweight 4.3-liter V8 engine delivering close to 500 horsepower which enables the F430 Spider to reach with a top speed of almost 200 mph. The engine is located under a transparent cover behind the passenger compartment. It has a six-speed manual transmission which Ferrari claims cuts shifting times down to 150 milliseconds. A six-speed automatic gearbox with manual-shift capability is optional. A high-performance braking system brings the Spider to a commanding stop.

The F430 Spider has a lightweight aluminum frame with a spectacular aerodynamic design. At the push of a button, a power-operated fabric roof can be raised and lowered. Standard features include: Adaptive suspension, Power driver seat, Radio data system, Weather band radio, Driver front impact airbag, integrated roll-over protection, and Electronic stability. High-tech features include a steering wheel-mounted interface that is used to adjust various integrated systems such as suspension settings, traction control and transmission speed. As with low-ground, two-seat sports cars, the Ferrari F430 Spider can be a secure fit.

“From inside to out and from top to bottom, the 2008 Ferrari F430 Spider is a super car of unsurpassed excellence. It is everything a Ferrari aspires to be, and everything a Ferrari owner expects it to be. Aspirations and expectations often are found wanting in this imperfect world. For a handful of fortunate Ferrari-philes, they’re just a button push away from perfection any time they want it.” Andrew McCredie, Canadian Auto Press.
