Startech Shows Land Rover Defender 90
Cruising its way to the Essen Motor Show floors, is the sea-flavored Land Rover Defender 90 Yachting Edition, created by Brabus affiliate Startech. And while it ain't an amphibious off-roader, this Defender takes its styling inspiration from -you guessed it- maritime themes.
Finished in a bright white color, the Defender 90 Yachting Edition rolls on 16-inch alloys wrapped around in wider tires measuring 267/75 R16. Complementing the 4x4's looks are new running boards with integrated entrance lights that are activated via the keyless fob or by opening one of the doors, an SVX grille and body-colored headlight covers.
Greater emphasis has been given to the nautical-themed cabin. The crew of Startech's Defender are greeted by a yacht-like wood flooring and navy-blue leather with contrasting white stitching covering with the doors, dashboard, center console and Recaro sport seats. In addition, the shells of the seatbacks are painted white to match the exterior while the headliner is made from Alcantara finished in navy-blue.

Land Rover Defender 110 Photos.................From today, all Defender 110 Station Wagons featuring the Utility Pack will gain a Classification change from M1 to N1 passenger carrying Light Commercial Vehicle. With a payload capability in excess of 1,000 kg, the Defender 110 Utility Wagon also meets requirements to be classified as a light goods vehicle for VAT purposes should be the commercial usage.
The Utility Pack, which is a no cost option available on all three trim levels - base, County and XS - replaces the rear side windows of the standard station wagon with paneled sides, providing a secure load area space whilst still maintaining Seating for five people .
Customers purchasing a Defender 110 Utility Wagon for commercial requirements can benefit from VAT reclaim, Benefit in Kind tax capped at £ 3000 for light commercial vehicles and an LCV rate of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) - £ 185 from May 1, 2009.
John Edwards, UK managing director, Land Rover said: "The change in Classification for the Defender 110 wagon Utility provides our business customers with a more flexible and cost-effective alternative to other double cabs. The Utility pack ensures a more secure load space whilst not affecting the vehicle's ability to transport five people comfortably - making it an ideal workhorse. "
Land Rover Evoque
Land Rover Evoque (base price $37,000 ) 
The Evoque, in contrast, will be the smallest, lightest and most fuel-efficient Land Rover model the company has ever produced.
Thematically, it'lll be similar to the Batmobile-looking Acura ZDX. Which means, style and curb appeal share equal billing with functional considerations. It will be slightly smaller than the current LR2 and set up to seat only four people in a more intimate, sports-coupe-like layout. The rear area will be mostly for cargo though fold-away jumpseats may be offered.
The standard powerplant will be the same basic 3.2 liter engine used in the current LR2, producing 230 hp. It's possible a hybrid gas-electric version will be available, too - though probablynot before 2012.
Scheduled launch for the Evoque is late 2010 or early 2011.
