The 2011 Nissan GT-R carries on the nickname “Godzilla.” With prices starting at $84,060, the 2011 GT-R is a 2-door, 4-passenger sports car, available in only in Premium trim. The GT-R is powered by a 8-liter twin-turbocharged 24-valve V6 that produces 485 horsepower @ 6,400 rpm and 434 lb-ft of torque @ 3,200–5,200 rpm. The only transmission available is a GR6 dual-clutch six-speed automatic transmission. The 2010 GT-R has an acceleration rate of 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 192 mph. The fuel economy of the GT-R is 15 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway.
The 2011 Nissan GTR features ATTESA E-TS® All-Wheel Drive (AWD) with patented independent rear-mounted transaxle integrating transmission differential and AWD transfer case.
The torque distribution includes traction/yaw-based; up to 100% rear; up to 50% front.
As well, the GTR features Electronic Traction Control System (TCS) and Nissan/Brembo® braking system which includes 4-wheel disc brakes, 15″ front and rear two-piece floating-rotors with diamond-pattern internal ventilation. The front suspension includes double-wishbone with aluminum links and the Rear suspension features multi-link with aluminum linksThe design of the exterior of the Nissan 2011 GT-R is much the same design as the previous year. The exterior features include Premium Midship (PM) platform with hybrid unibody assembled using high-precision, ultra-low-tolerance jigs that is much like racecar construction. It has an aluminum hood, trunk lid and outer door skins. Changes include: darker wheel center caps, double clear coat on the front and rear fascias, and the addition of rear cooling ducts to improve cooling performance around the rear floor area.
Interior features of the 2011 GT-R include: Die-cast aluminum front shock towers, inner roof and inner door structures, Nissan Intelligent Key® with Push Button Ignition, electronic analog instrument cluster with upshift indicator, multi-function drive computer and digital gear indicator, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-appointed front seats with synthetic suede inserts, 8-way power driver’s seat, and 4-way power front passenger’s seat with entry/exit switch for rear passenger.
