The automotive press has reported that the next Cadillac DTS is expected to merge with the Cadillac STS to create a single brand's flagship sedan. The original plan was identified as a rear-drive sedan, powered by the new Ultra V8 (engine parts for the Northstar), or bow to the year 2010 . GM stopped the development of new North American Zeta models and canceled the V8 Ultra
